Lebanon

Lebanon is located in the eastern corner of the Mediterranean; the geographic cross-road between East and West at the meeting point of the three continents, Lebanon has welcomed many civilizations throughout the centuries and contains a mix of cultures whose traces may still be seen today.

 

Besides the legendary hospitality, natural, archaeological and touristic sites, and the delicious food, Lebanon is also known for its typical Mediterranean climate with four distinctive season and the varied landscapes such as beaches, mountains, valleys, and forests.

 

Lebanon includes number of World Heritage sites: the Phoenician cities of Byblos, Baalbek and Tyre, Qadisha Valley, known for its early Christian monasteries, and Beaufort Castle that was built in 1139 by European Crusaders, and considered the largest Crusader castle in Lebanon.
